I'm not sure about you, but our grocery budget has always been a challenge for me. I'm such a foodie, and I tend to get carried away at the grocery store. Not only that, but I have expensive taste. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a food snob (and I fully embrace that title). But this that, comes an outrageous grocery spending habit if you're not careful.
I've struggle with sticking to budgets for as long as I can remember, but the grocery budget specifically has always been a pain point for me. I've had way too many instances where I stand at the check out line and almost have a heart attack when I see the total. Has anyone spent $500 on groceries in a single trip? Well I have...I couldn't even believe that it was possible to spend that much in ONE single grocery trip. That was a huge wake up call for me.
With all the chaos of our life right now and the uncertainty, I challenged myself to stay accountable for the month of August. I want to see how little I can spend on groceries for the month.
