Twins | 34 Week Bumpdate

34 week twin bump

How Far Along?: 34 Weeks

Genders?: BOYS

How Big Are Babies?: The size of a Butternut Squash. According to the scan we had yesterday the boys are only about an ounce or two away from 4 lbs each and 17.5 inches. Babies are now urinating about a pint a day! They can also recognize songs.

Weight Gain?: Haven't weighed myself in a while, but I would guess I'm about 165ish by now.

Workouts?: Nothing! Just walking in Home Depot the other day set off some painful contractions. So, my OB says to take it easy for now. I can do some light stretches but that's about it.

Symptoms?: Besides the cramping/contractions I've had heartburn pretty bad lately. Also, now that I've gotten bigger I swell up more and get tired way easier! My pelvis still hurts, but I've gotten pretty used to it. One new and weird symptom for me is extreme itchiness. It's only where my stretch marks are around my belly button, everywhere else is fine. They're so itchy it hurts! I use body butter and oils and nothing seems to help. Hopefully this goes away soon.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Got my wedding ring on but not my engagement ring! My fingers were going back down to normal then all of a sudden started to swell again...Now I can't get my wedding ring off...

Stretch Marks?: Under my boobs and the few on my butt. I also now have them on my belly, but only around my belly button which is weird.

Belly Button?: Out! And it's started to get numb around it, how weird...

Movements?: They move, but it's more pressure and being lopsided than anything else. I always feel like I have a mountain on one side of my belly, definitely not comfy!

Sleep?: Not the best. My hips and pelvis are so sore that it makes it hard to get comfortable. I've tried about everything I can think of but I guess Mother Nature is just preparing me for when these boys come!

What I Miss?: Being comfortable and being able to sleep on my back. I feel like my belly has gotten ten times heavier, it makes doing anything pretty hard!

Food Cravings?: Fruit bowls seem to be what I crave the most lately. I want them at all hours of the day! That and hard boiled eggs.

Food Aversions?: None.

Labor Signs?: Still having contractions and found out the period-like cramps I'm having are small contractions. My cervix hasn't changed so that's a plus!

What I Look Forward to This Week?: Excited for our first NST this Friday. I'm so happy I can do them at Naval and we don't have to go down to Palm Springs all the time for these. I also have a friend's baby shower this weekend! It's Valentine's Day this week and thankfully its on the weekend so I get to spend it with my hubby.

Notes: We got to see Dr. Steiger. So happy to have a game plan now and that they are monitoring the boys closely! Grandma gets here this week. We are so excited! My induction day is scheduled for March 9th 2016!
