So our adventure begins! Day 1 of our cross country journey has been LONG! We went from Temecula, CA to Tucson, AZ. We woke up at 5am....WAY too early and left around 7:00am. It took us about 7 ½ hours. The dogs and boys actually did really well surprisingly. We only stopped twice to let the dogs out and let the boys stretch their legs. I sat in the back middle seat to be with the boys and let me just say...not the most comfortable mode of transportation.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be though, so that's a plus. I'm NOT a fan of pumping on the go. Our first break was in Yuma, AZ and we got Chick-Fil-A for lunch, let the dogs and boys out, and I pumped.
Then it was on the road again! We finally made it to Tucson at around 3:45 in the afternoon. I was so happy to be out of the car I could have kissed the floor. We checked into the lobby and I was actually pleasantly surprised with how nice the hotel was. We decided to stay at the Wyndham Resort & Spa and it has great rooms.
Once we unloaded everything into the room we relaxed for a bit, got the boys and dogs situated, then went to dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was really yummy!
After dinner we walked back to the room, fed the boys, took a shower and hopped in bed for some much needed rest!
Thought this was funny!
Next stop: New Mexico!
