I can't believe it's already time for their 6 month checkup. I mean didn't we just go for their 4 month? I know I say this all the time, but they're really growing WAY too fast for this mama! I honestly feel like I just had them yesterday!
Thankfully I had my mama here to help me with their appointment today! These boys did so good! We got to our appointment at 10:30 in the morning and we were put into a room pretty quickly. The boys had their weights checked, heart rates checked, temperatures taken and head circumference measured. Here's how they weighed in:
Liam:
Weight: 14 lbs 7 oz (6th Percentile)
Height: 25.8 in (39th Percentile)
Head Circumference: 16.9 in (37th Percentile)
Temperature: 98.3 F
Bentley:
Weight: 15 lbs (9th Percentile)
Height: 25.71 in (23rd Percentile)
Head Circumference: 17.13 in (42nd Percentile)
Temperature: 98.1 F
I'm so proud of these boys! They're growing so well and learning new things all the time! After we had our visit with our nurse practitioner, it was time to head downstairs for their shots. Poor babies had no idea what was coming. Liam went first and of course he screamed. It broke my mama heart. Then came Bentley. It was so sad because he was laying there smiling at me and then all of a sudden I could see the pain in his eyes and he started screaming. It took everything in me not to cry with him. I know, I'm a wimp...
They did alright after their shots, but a few hours after poor Bentley woke up from his nap screaming in pain. I tried feeding him, rocking him, kissing him, giving him Tylenol, but nothing was working. So I decided to run a warm bath for him as a last ditch effort. Thank God it worked! He was instantly happy. I let him play in the bath and have a good time until I thought he felt better. He was a whole new baby when he came out of that bath!
They did 10,000 times better than their four month check up. Now no more shots until they are a year! Woo!
