This last month has been a weird one. It's been a month since we moved to Texas (which is great!) but we are still transitioning. Not only has our routine and life shifted a bit, but the world seems to be crumbling. With COVID and now the protest/riots, it's been an emotional month. I refuse to let fear dictate our lives though. Especially because these tiny humans are watching us.
With the world we live in now, I feel like it's even more important to share these updates and how our littles are doing. Not seeing family is hard, not seeing friends is hard, it's all hard. So here's a little brightness in your day, because who doesn't want to see pictures of an adorable babe?!
Our baby girl is seven months old! Do you know what that means? She's officially closer to a year old than a newborn and I AM NOT OKAY. Where is the time going!? I swear with each baby, the first year goes by faster and faster.
She's now starting to get up on her knees and rock back and forth, although we having figured out how to actually move those knees yet. BUT, that doesn't stop her! She's a quick little scooter.
She also said "MAMA" for the first time a few days ago and my heart about exploded out of my chest. I'm so glad I was there to hear it.
She loves her brothers (especially Cooper) they have this weird special bond and I love it. She gets stronger everyday and less wobbly.
eat
She still breastfeeds on demand and not as frequently. She has tested sweet potato and pear, but we haven't actually "started" solids yet. She is starting to show interest though, so I see it happening soon!
sleep
She still hasn't slept through the night, and is actually turning into quite the night owl. We used to be able to put her down around 7:00pm but lately she isn't going down until closer to 9:30pm. She still gets up about 3-4 times a night to nurse. Right now it seems like a bit more because she's been teething.
stats
We haven't been to a doctor in a while (thanks COVID) but I'm planning on getting her in soon. She's due for some vaccines anyways. I would guess that she's probably around 20 lbs now. Still has no teeth, but man is she teething HARD.
I'm so excited to see how she grows in the next month. I'm also praying hard that this whole COVID thing gets under control soon and we come back stronger as a country. Stay safe y'all!
