Ellie Grace | 6 Month Update

Ellie Grace | 6 Month Update

This post is a little late because, well...things have been crazy with moving. But, my baby girl is HALF a year old. I know I say it all the time, but time has gone by SO fast. I seriously feel like I was just 40 weeks pregnant, waiting for her to make her grand debut.

She's learned so much in the last month! We've almost mastered sitting on our own (although she still needs supervision because she's wobbly). She now SCOOTS. She's on the move and is always trying to keep up with her big brothers. I know it won't be long before she starts full on crawling.

She's becoming more and more independent every day. I love to watch her grow and learn. She's also said her first word! Anyone want to guess what it was?....

DADA

Naturally she's a daddy's girl.

eat

She eats like a champ still! We're still exclusively breastfeeding and soon we'll be starting solids (probably in the next month or two). I feed on demand, so I don't really know how much she eats a day (but it feels like a lot).

sleep

Well...with all the change we've hit a snag in the sleeping department. She's usually good once she's down, but it takes a while to get her down. We wake up with her about 3 times a night and she's still nursing throughout the night. We did get this cute little mini crib and we've started to introduce her to it. She's napped in it a few times and so far so good! I just ordered her a new mattress that I'm SO excited for!

stats

We haven't been to the doctor in a while (thanks COVID) so I'm not sure what her actual stats are but I would guess she's probably in the 15.5-16 lbs range and 25 inches long.

Once we set up care here and get a provider we'll know for sure!

She is such a sweet baby and I love spending time with her. Our sleepy morning snuggles and her laugh (which is contagious) are my favorite! She's rolling from back to belly and belly to back! I'm constantly blown away with how amazing her brothers are with her. It just melts this mama heart.

I look forward to what this next month has in store! Can't wait to see what new skills she learns!

Until next time...
