How Far Along?: 36 weeks! So close to that finish line!
Weight Gain: At this point I've gained about 25lbs which is wild to me. I feel like out of nowhere I just pained 10lbs in a week.
Gender?: BOY! I can't wait to meet him! I think he's going to have a LOT of hair.
How Big is Baby?: He's the size of a papaya and roughly 18.7 in long and 5.8 lbs. At 36 weeks pregnant, his liver and kidneys are in working order, and circulation and immune systems are ready for action. Now, he's getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on his own. Plus his skin is getting smooth and soft. He's also prepping to embrace the world outside the womb as he continues to lose lanugo, the little hairs that cover the body to help protect the skin and keep him warm in the uterus.
A big 36-week milestone is that he'll now be able to suck to feed, and his tummy is ready to digest breast milk. This sucking instinct is crucial since he’ll be living off breast milk.
Symptoms: Heartburn like CRAZY, it's like fire in my throat. Insomnia is kicking my butt and SI + sciatic pain is making my left leg numb and painful so that's been fun...Other than that I'm just tired and achy.
Any Food Cravings?: Lately just been loving my chai tea with my homemade coffee creamer and Tru Fru Pina Colada frozen treats.
Sleep: I've been struggling to sleep. Partially because I'm having heartburn but mostly because I'm just so uncomfortable and it hurts a ton to switch from one side to the other.
Stretch Marks?: No new ones just my old ones.
Maternity Clothes?: Yup, at this point though I'm just wearing anything or letting my belly hang out haha.
Wedding Ring On or Off?: On!
What Do You Miss the Most?: Not having the pain in my left side and being able to walk without pain.
What Are You Most Excited For This Next Week?: My hair appointment! I can't wait to feel better about how I look and just in time before this baby comes.
Labor Signs?: Nope!
Favorite Memory From Last Week?: Celebrating my 10 year wedding anniversary with my best friend! I got Wes a paddle board which he has been wanting for SO long.
