1940's Meal Plan: Wednesday

1940's Meal Plan: Wednesday

It's the end of day three and I think it went much smoother! The meals were simpler, but I also ended up skipping dinner so that was definitely part of it!

Breakfast:

Sliced Oranges, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon & Toast, Milk or Coffee

This was a super easy breakfast, and one that we actually have regularly.

Lunch:

Cream of Potato Soup (Pg. 178), Cheese Sandwiches, Fresh Fruit

This lunch was pretty easy. The thing that took the longest was the cream of potato soup, but it was yummy! It went well with the cheese sandwich.

Dinner:

Swiss Steak (Pg. 239), Baked Potatoes, Creamed Onions (Pg. 403), Caramel Custard Pudding (Pg. 527)

This is what tonight's dinner was supposed to be, but last second Wes' parents wanted to take him out to dinner for his birthday. I didn't mind the break, but I also did want to try this meal. I'll probably just try it another time. When we were out I tried to order as closely to tonights dinner as possible though. We went to Longhorn Steak house and I got a 6oz. filet mignon with baked potato, caramelized onions, and a Caesar salad.
