Twins One Year Checkup | Part II

Twins One Year Checkup | Part II

This past month has FLOWN by. With the PCS and the boys turning one, it's been pure chaos in the Curfman house. Because we got to our new duty station ON the boys birthday, we didn't have much of a chance to get them into their one year appointment.

After filling out about a thousand papers and calling Tricare more than a few times, I finally got them an appointment. I was NOT emotionally prepared for them getting shots, so my sweet friend Leann accompanied me. I'm such a baby when the boys get their shots and of course every time, my husband can't be there.

We got there a few minutes before the appointment time and within five minutes we were in the room. The nurse did the vitals as per usual. Here's where the boys stand right now:

Liam:

18 lbs 3.5 oz

28.5 in

Bentley:

18 lbs 15.5 oz

29 in

After they got weighed and measured, the pediatrician came to do their physical exams. No surprise, they're healthy and look great! He also ruled out autism which I wasn't expecting him to do at this appointment, but it was good news!

Then came the shots...

My least favorite part of the visit. Poor little dudes had no idea what was about to hit them. They screamed and cried, I wanted to cry with them.

They got a treat after their shots and then we all went to lunch afterwards. Poor little kiddos. They're doing much better now though. They have a slight low grade fever, but nothing crazy. Here's hoping they sleep it off!
