Cooper | 8 Month Update

Cooper | 8 Month Update

These past few weeks have been CRAZY. I almost forgot that he was turning 8 months old! I actually had a shadowing experience with the Registered Dietitians here at the local hospital on the day he turned 8 months. It was so surreal to be walking the halls knowing that exactly 8 months ago, I had welcoming my little baby into this world at that same hospital. I know I say this every time, but I seriously can not believe how fast it goes by. I feel like I was just getting ready to have him yesterday and here we are with a crawling baby that climbs up on everything.

He's constantly evolving and learning new things everyday and I just love watching him explore this big world. He absolutely ADORES his big brothers and they love him just as much. My heart is so full when I watch them all play and laugh together on the floor.

Cooper is getting steadier and steadier everyday. He's stood up and let go of his support a handful of times and I can't believe he's already trying to stand on his own. I think we may have a walker on our hands in the next couple of months.

I'm also SO excited it's Fall y'all! I love this time of year and I can't wait to experience it with Cooper for the first time. Our family loves to go all out for the holidays and I'm itching to put up the Christmas tree together this year! (Last year Wes was away for most of the holiday stuff, so this will be so nice!)

He's way more interested in solid foods now, although we don't push them if he's uninterested. We started giving him small chunks of soft foods like banana and avocado. He loves playing with it more so than eating it, but that's okay!

OH and y'all....we have a TOOTH!! He popped his first bottom tooth in recently and I'm loving all these tooth-y smiles.

Sleep has been a struggle lately with him. He will usually nap twice a day (if I'm lucky) but they're short naps. Then by the time bedtime rolls around, he DOES NOT want anything to do with sleep. He's been teething pretty bad lately and it's caused him to wake up every 1-2 hours at night. Teething is ROUGH! He just wants mama and snuggles and I am A-OKAY with that. Just last night he spent most of the night in our bed.

I can't wait to see what this month has in store for us and all the new things he'll learn! Slow down baby mama needs more time!
